Lori believes that churches hold vast resources of people sitting in their pews who are hungry to be part of God’s mission. For almost 30 years, Lori has invested in the global outreach ministry of her church in Newburgh, IN, first as a volunteer and then a staff member for the last 19 years. In that time, she has been vital in sending missionaries, overseeing short term trips, creating outreach curriculum, and building teams to provide excellent missionary care. In 2018, Lori led the team who produced Momentum as a free online video-based curriculum so that it could be easily accessible to churches around the world.

Reflections on Short-Term Missions

A few years ago, fifteen to twenty people travelled from the United States to another country to build a village house for a missionary family. Many of the participants had construction experience. The building project lasted several weeks. By the time these Americans left, the village house was almost complete.
