The Development Director leads the Development Team in investing in ministry partners and growing the resources available for the U.S. Team’s ministry.

 

Major Responsibilities  
Lead the Development Team to ensure that the following areas are completed well:

 

Ministry Partner Engagement 

  • Engage with The Task Unfinished Ministry Partners and plan regular Task Unfinished Ministry Partner zoom calls to build community
  • Work together with the Board and National Leadership Team to ensure regular engagement with Core Ministry Partners
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all interactions with ministry partners using chosen fundraising software
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Communications team on any communication sent to Ministry Partners (receipts, finance letters, etc.)

Development Strategy 

  • Work together with the Development Consultant, the Co-National Directors, and other leaders to explore new ways to encourage and equip current Task Unfinished Ministry Partners
  • Work together with others to develop new Task Unfinished Ministry Partners
  • Ensure regular analysis of giving trends and report to the Board and National Leadership Team

Communication 

  • Manage the US Development email address
  • Help with writing public audience updates for organizational ministry partners

Projects 

  • Coordinate with the Donations and Communication teams in adding, updating, and removing PartnerHub projects
  • Connect with project leaders to be updated on current projects

  • Passion for East Asia and reaching its peoples for God’s glory.
  • The ability to work within an international, interdenominational organization.
  • A teachable spirit and flexible attitude.
  • Vision for helping ministry partners to grow in transformational generosity
  • Enthusiastic agreement for OMF’s values and approach to serving ministry partners
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills
  • Administrative skills to keep up with timely record keeping
  • As a life-long learner, has a teachable spirit and flexible attitude

Compensation 
If not serving as a volunteer (i.e. unpaid), the financial remuneration for this position is “support-based.” This means that like most OMF (U.S.) personnel, the person who takes on this role will be asked to trust the Lord to provide the funds to cover the amount of the salary. This is done by forming a Partnership Team to pray for you and give towards the financial need.  OMF will provide training for Partnership Development and a mentor to guide the process.  The salary amount for this position is based on the ministry job requirements and the OMF U.S. salary guidelines. OMF also offers generous PTO and eligibility to participate in our 403(b) retirement program, training and development opportunities, and team retreats.
