Sending our Own and Partnering with Indigenous Missions

November 19 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST

Virtual Event
Free

You’re invited to a special Peer2Peer virtual gathering designed for church mission leaders who long to see the whole Church engaged in God’s global mission. Join us as we explore the vital calling to both send workers from our own congregations *and* to partner deeply with indigenous missionaries around the world—embracing a truly collaborative approach. This gathering will equip and inspire you to build missional strategies that honor the gifts of your local church while also uplifting the leadership of those already on the ground. Let’s reimagine how we send and support, together.

This virtual gathering is for every an any church mission leader (Senior Pastor, Missions Pastor, Missions leader and/or missions volunteer) who is in any way involved or interested in mobilizing the local church to serve globally. This is the event to attend for those of you who are serving in your local church and also have a global mindset. The participants will hear from those who are actively sending from the local church and serving with indigenous believers on the field. They will receive insight, tools, ideas, etc. They will have the opportunity to have their questions or concerns addressed/answered.

Presenters:

Robert Mullen

My journey to becoming a part of the Partners team was an exciting venture directed by the Lord,” says Robert Mullen. Robert began his professional career as an attorney concentrating on commercial litigation and representing Christian ministries. After nine years of practicing law, he joined the staff of a church where he served as Missions and Discipleship Pastor and later as Senior Pastor. It was in his role as pastor that Robert began his partnership with Partners. Over the years, Robert directed the church to invest strategically in Partners’ ministries through prayer, encouragement, and financial giving. Robert holds a B.S. in Finance and Political Science from Liberty University, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Robert is passionate about his role in strategically connecting local leaders with Kingdom investors. He says, “I love to help Kingdom investors understand the incredible opportunity and personal responsibility they have to be strategically involved in reaching the least reached with the Gospel.” Robert and his wife, Anne, have two grown children and two granddaughters, and live in Virginia.

Mark Byrom

Mark has spent more than 30 years in ministry, and fourteen of those years were in Bosnia-Herzegovina as an international worker with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Years of ministry in Europe, traveling the world, and being a mission-mobilizer with the denomination gave Mark a focus on connecting the global church with the local church. Mark also completed his studies for his Doctorate of Ministry in 2017, further equipping him to lead passionately. As the Executive Pastor of Outreach and Care, he assists Alliance Church as they partner globally with believers and churches on five different continents. It’s an Acts 1:8 mentality, which he pursues with passion. Mark and his wife, Debbie, have raised three young women and now navigate the empty-nesting lifestyle together. When he gets a chance, he enjoys hiking in beautiful locations and visiting new places around the globe. Mark enjoys hanging with friends over a great cup of coffee along with reading and seeing a great movie.
