Facilitators

Tim Foot, with nearly 30 years of experience as a leader, pastor, coach, speaker, musician, and presenter in Australia and North America, brings a diverse background in church, nonprofit, and for-profit environments to his role as CEO/President of Slingshot Group.
Throughout his time at Slingshot, Tim and the teams he’s led have staffed and coached thousands of organizations and leaders. For Tim, this work provides a perfect combination of strategic leadership and relational connection, allowing him to invest in teams in tandem with serving leaders.
Tim believes, “When the mission of the leader and the mission of the organization line up, that’s when the magic happens! Alignment is everything, and the best investment you’ll ever make is in your leaders.” Tim lives in Denver, Colorado, with his wife, Mandy, and their two sons.

Toni McEwan, with 24 years of leadership experience across corporate and nonprofit sectors, brings a unique blend of strategic expertise and heartfelt passion to her role as Vice President of Nonprofit at Slingshot Group. She serves faith-driven Christian nonprofits and mission-minded for-profit companies, helping organizations thrive through authentic leadership, mission clarity, and organizational alignment.
Since joining Slingshot in 2021, Toni has led and coached teams through executive search and succession planning with a spirit of close partnership – helping organizations build strong leadership pipelines and navigate key transitions with confidence.
Toni’s international experience is a cornerstone of her leadership journey. From relocating her family to England to serve as Managing Director for the UK & Ireland business, to partnering with global missions-focused organizations, she brings a deep appreciation for cross-cultural collaboration and global impact.
Hosts

Ted Esler leads Missio Nexus, an association of agencies and churches from the US and Canada representing over 54,000 Great Commission workers worldwide. Ted worked as a computer consultant before becoming a church planter in Sarajevo, Bosnia, during the 1990s. From there he worked in various leadership positions in Pioneers. In 2015 he was appointed the President of Missio Nexus. Ted has a PhD in Intercultural Studies (Fuller Theological Seminary, 2012) and is the author of The Innovation Crisis: Creating Disruptive Influence in Ministry You Lead. Ted lives to see the church reclaim its role as a leader in innovation, just as Jesus led innovation in the 1st century.

Michael VanHuis serves as the Executive Director of Missio Nexus. He and his wife Laura have served as field missionaries in Ghana, West Africa and in international and home office leadership with Pioneers. He has also served as the mission’s pastor and chief of staff at Northland Church. Prior to coming to Missio Nexus he managed a private family foundation and served as Vice President for OneWay Ministries. Michael is passionate about leadership and helping to liberate leaders and organizations to reach their full potential. Michael holds a Masters in Global Leadership from Fuller School of Intercultural Studies.

Cancellations received on or before Wednesday, October 18 will be refunded minus a $25 cancellation fee. After that, no refund is available.
