Why have you decided to cancel the in-person Mission Leaders Conference?
We received some 400+ responses to a survey conducted in the past two weeks. Many of you expressed concerns for health and safety, quarantines, travel restrictions, and not least of all unanticipated financial restrictions. In addition, the venue, the Rosen Centre, has graciously released us from our contract with no penalty, something that is almost unheard of. After much consideration and prayer, we decided that the wisest course of action for us at this time is to cancel the face-to-face Mission Leaders Conference in 2020.
Is this a virtual conference?
While our plenary speakers are the same, and our theme is still focused on the goal of the Great Commission, the format and time commitment is different. Rather than creating 70+ Zoom events, we are planning a 3-hour live, interactive broadcast for Thursday, September 24 at 1:00 PM EDT. This virtual event will be accompanied by a 40-day devotional series, written by leaders in the Missio Nexus community.
Do I have to sign up for this new event if I already registered for the Mission Leaders Conference?
No, for those with paid registrations for the 2020 Mission Leaders Conference, you will be registered automatically for the Focus 2020 Spotlight event at no cost. Others will pay a registration fee.
How do I get a refund for my 2020 Mission Leaders Conference registration?
You are entitled to a full refund for the 2020 Mission Leaders Conference. Your refund options include:
- A full refund
- A partial refund with a portion which you designate donated to Missio Nexus
- Credit your refund to Innovate 2021 in Dallas, Texas, September 22–24
- No refund, the entire amount donated to Missio Nexus
Missio Nexus will be losing both revenue and expenses already incurred by this cancellation. If you are able, prayerfully consider donating part or all of your refund to help defray these costs.
This optional refund period ends Monday, July 27. After this date your registration fees will be credited toward registration at Innovate 2021 in Dallas, Texas.
How will my registration be cancelled if I registered as a part of a group?
If you registered as a group, your registration will be processed as a group. You will be contacted about your refund options.
Do I have to cancel my hotel reservations at the Rosen Center?
If you reserved rooms at the Rosen Center, your reservations will automatically be cancelled. If this is not your desire, please contact them toll free at 1-800-204-7234.
