A Peer-2-Peer Virtual Event for Church Mission Leaders
Carlos Negrón of Missio Nexus and Matthew Ellison of 16:15 will be joined by Luke Perkins, President of Crossworld, and an experienced church missions leader from North Carolina with extensive global ministry experience for a timely and practical conversation on Connecting the 9-5 Window to the 10/40 Window: Mobilizing Professionals and Marketplace Workers to Reach the Unreached.
A growing movement of professionals is stepping into strategic global roles. Engineers, teachers, medical workers, business leaders, IT specialists, creatives, and others are bringing the light of Christ to places where traditional missionary pathways are restricted or closed. The modern marketplace is becoming one of the most effective access points to some of the world’s least-reached peoples.
Yet the church often struggles to know how to identify, affirm, prepare, and send marketplace workers well. What does real mobilization look like when someone’s vocation becomes their primary platform for gospel influence? How do we help believers integrate faith, excellence, and mission while working in demanding, high-pressure environments? And how do churches and agencies partner together so professionals are not going alone but going supported, equipped, and aligned with a clear strategy toward the nations?
Together, our panel will explore the opportunities, challenges, and best practices in mobilizing the everyday workforce for cross-cultural impact. The global mission field is no longer limited to career missionaries. The nations are opening to those who bring both the gospel and the real skills the world needs.
