Unequally Yoked? The Marriage Debate and the Right to Hire Fellow Believers
Rapid changes in U.S. law and culture are making it harder for religious ministries to hire people who not only say they share the faith, but also live the faith. Daniel Blomberg of The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty will discuss these new challenges and describe some of the ways ministries can protect their religious mission and identity. The Becket Fund is a leader in the effort to protect religious liberty, recently winning Hosanna-Tabor Lutheran Church & School v. EEOC, where the U.S. Supreme Court recognized the constitutional right of a Lutheran school to hire teachers that shared its faith.
