Who is this person?
Erin Foley was a third-culture kid, raised by a nomadic American missionary couple and brought up in several countries as her peripatetic parents journeyed with Jesus. After graduating college with a degree in journalism and photography, she landed in Idaho, became part of a good church, with plans for summer ministry, when God spoke through a visiting missionary. She heard Him say, “I don’t want your summer breaks or your generosity. I want everything.” Struggling to unclench her fists, she opened her hands and heart, surrendering her life plans. One year later, she boarded a plane to Kapuna in Papua New Guinea (PNG), to a little jungle hospital begun in 1949 by the London Missionary Society.
