The purpose of the Human Resources Generalist is to maximize GFM’s impact by implementing the organization’s human resources policies and procedures and contributing toward system and policy improvements. This role is a full-time position arranged as a flextime, telecommuting schedule ranging from 5-15 hour to 30-40 hour weeks, not to go beyond 40 hours in any week with the exception of any work-related conference trip or crises. The Human Resources Generalist has the ability to work on site and from home on a regular basis (hybrid). The role is based out of Clarkston, Georgia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Support recruitment process: Coordinate job listings, handle inquiries, source candidates, conduct initial interviews, advise on hiring decisions, perform background checks, issue employment contracts, etc.
● Coordinate orientations for new hires and conduct HR portion of orientation
● Coordinate training sessions and seminars for staff
● Assist supervisors in performance management procedures as well as rewarding staff achievements
● Assist in the staff offboarding process, conducting exit interviews and maintaining accurate records, etc.
● Identify and advise on opportunities for staffs’ professional development or advancement in the unit
● Receive and resolve staff grievances and employee relations matters
● Stay up to date with compliance regulations and nonprofit HR industry standards
● Assist with organizational policy and system updates
