Are you passionate about global missions and skilled in marketing and engagement? Missio Nexus is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Marketing and Engagement to lead our efforts in attracting new members and deepening engagement among existing ones. In this role, you will utilize various platforms, including web, email, advertising, and events, to extend our reach. You will work collaboratively with the Director of Communications and report directly to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in marketing, social media management, or member engagement, along with excellent communication and project management skills. Job Description
Provide overall leadership and direction for marketing Missio Nexus to new members (both organizations and churches) as well as deepening engagement among existing members. This role utilizes the web platform, email, advertising, events, and other means to extend the reach of Missio Nexus into existing and new pools.
This position reports to the Executive Director and will work collaboratively with the Director of Communications.

- Proven experience in marketing, social media management, or member engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Proficiency in marketing software and social media platforms
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required
- Creative thinker with a passion for engaging communities and building relationships
- Global missions experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work well with others from a wide range of perspectives and organizations
- Must be able to work on a virtual team in a home office setting
- Experience using Microsoft 365 and digital tools for creating graphics, videos, and social media posts. An understanding of AI usage in marketing is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns to attract new members, retain existing ones, and encourage deeper engagement by members
- Manage and update the association’s social media profiles and communication stream, ensuring consistent and engaging content
- Develop and implement social media strategies, monitor social media trends, and engage with the audience through comments, messages, and interactive content
- Collaborate with the communications team to produce and manage a content calendar for marketing materials, including newsletters, email campaigns, and promotional flyers
- Implement segmentation for email lists, personalized email content, a/b testing, and analyzing email performance metrics
- Research the most effectiveness use of direct mail campaigns to integrate with digital marketing efforts
- Analyze market trends and member feedback to recommend improvements to marketing strategies
- Coordinate with the events team to promote and execute association events, webinars, and conferences including sponsorship and advertising
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and engagement activities
- Maintain a strong understanding of the association’s mission and member needs to ensure relevant and impactful marketing efforts
- Oversee the proper use of the contact relationship management system and website tools, including assisting the team with proper use
- Utilize AI tools to personalize marketing efforts, automate regular tasks, and analyze data for better targeting and engagement
Note
This role does not require a physical move but will be done from whatever location best suits the candidate. Some travel will be required, mostly domestic, and a stipend for internet service and phone access will be provided. This is a 40-hour week full-time role and includes health benefits. The ideal candidate will raise support for this role.
