Some of the older generations find connecting with Millennials difficult and uncomfortable. The younger generation sometimes view the church as another club and mission agencies out of date. We will consider strengths and weaknesses the Millennials bring to ministry opportunities here and abroad.
Learning Objectives:
Examining key issues for successfully integrating Millennials into our organizations. Deal breakers for Millennials will be discussed including input from Millennial presentation participants.Â

Following high school I joined the Army and while in Germany became a Christian through the Navigators ministry. After attending Officers Candidate School I spent a year in Vietnam where I met missionaries from the Christian and Missionary. I attended seminary at Regent College in Vancouver and the doctorate at Bethel University. Previous to our time at Bethany we worked with WEC International teaching at WEC’s missionary training college in Tasmania Australia, serving as training and USA Director. My wife Judy and I have 7 children-3 older biological children and 4 adopted boys and 7 grandchildren. Two published books: Marching to a Different Drummer: Rediscovering Missions in an Age of Affluence and Self Interest and Millennials and Mission: A Generation Faces a Global Challenge.
