Status of At Risk Women

The Mission Exchange announces the April 2010 Global Issues Update: Status of at Risk Women as their Plight and Promise.

Complex global challenges impact Great Commission activities at every level. No matter how connected and motivated you are as an individual Christ-follower, church or mission leader, you can’t be an expert on everything.

The April 2010 edition of Global Issues Update addresses the Status of Women at Risk with subject matter expert. Michelle Rickett, founder and President/CEO of Sisters in Service and co-author of Daughters of Hope. Forgotten Girls. The March 2010 edition of The Economist, posed the question, What happened to 100 million baby girls? Their answer: gender cide. Killed, aborted or neglected, 100 million girls have disappeared and the number is rising. In this month’s Global Issues Update we take a look at the status of at risk women from God’s perspective and offer practical ways you can get involved. We especially encourage you to share with leaders in your local church, asking them to consider including The Mother’s Day Challenge into the May 9, 2010 service. The Mother’s Day Challenge seeks to mobilize at least 10,000 men to affirm the following pledge, I will not sit still for the abuse and exploitation of priceless women and girls. In honor of the women and girls God has blessed me with, I will leverage my freedom to speak and my resources to set them free and equip them for a strong future. Global Issues Update is a bi-monthly (6 times per year) downloadable webinar that focuses on big picture issues impacting the world of missions. This resource is free for all categories of membership with The Mission Exchange and $19.95 for others.
