Summary

The book argues for the valuable role that singles play in the expansion of God’s kingdom, contending that they are not uncredentialed nor under-qualified for essential kingdom work simply because they have no spouse. Thus, the author is “determined to see that singles are equipped and included in the mission of the kingdom” (page 2). To accomplish this goal, the book presents a theology of singleness, cites the advantages of singleness through a kingdom-first life (a life that considers the King and his Kingdom as the highest calling and supreme purpose for living), and advocates that nowhere in the Bible is marriage established as the benchmark of Christian maturity.
