Position Summary:
The TCK (Third Culture Kid) Member Care Specialist, is responsible for leading TCK training programs, resourcing appointee and international worker families for cross-cultural life and ministry, and is responsible for equipping appointee and international worker families and TCKs; while advocating for their care and well-being.
Position Responsibilities:
· Support the Director of Paraclete Services and team to fulfill the purpose statement
· Encourage biblical perspectives within all member care interactions
· Provide WorldVenture parents with consultations and resources for raising TCKs in cross-cultural settings
· Participate in training events, conferences, and retreats as requested
· Debrief international worker families
· When appropriate, work directly with TCKs to equip them in self-care
· Adhere to the current child safety policy and code of conduct
· Maintain partnerships with other global TCK education entities
· Partner with other members of Paraclete Services to provide parents and their TCKs with relevant resources
· Lead TCKs in biblically integrated, age appropriate, cross-cultural training programs
· Hire, train, and oversee TCK program workers
· Create and implement curriculum using a variety of communication methods
· Review and update curriculum based on feedback and current needs
· Maintain child-safe and child-friendly areas and equipment
· Maintain active membership on the Child Safety Team, and serve as liaison between Paraclete and the Child Safety Team
· Ensure those working with TCKs are educated in the practices of child safety compliance
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Minimum of 5 years of cross-cultural ministry experience
· Integrate biblical principles to the needs of TCKs and their families
· Connect well with others in a virtual environment
· Positive experience working collaboratively with parents and their TCKs
· Respect for those from nations and cultures other than one’s own
· Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills appropriate for all age groups
· Relate to others in a professional, personal, and prompt manner
· High attention to detail and efficacious organizational skills
· Work with the training team to develop learning resources for parents and TCKs
· Collaborative approach when serving staff and international worker families
· Personal initiative, creativity, and flexibility in the management of work responsibilities
· Computer proficiency for Office365, related programs, and usage of video conferencing software
· Proficiency in Salesforce is highly preferred, but not required
· Contribute areas of unique gifting and specialization
Personal Qualifications:
Proven commitment to a personal relationship with God and a desire to serve Him in global ministry

· Enthusiastic personal interest in and dedication to WorldVenture’s vital and significant ministry
· Christian character that reflects and embodies the values, beliefs and principles foundational to WorldVenture
· Service-oriented attitude of assisting and serving others
· Team player who displays humility and a learner’s attitude
Education or Formal Training:
· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably with a degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Sociology, or Cross-Cultural Communication
· Experience serving the spiritual, behavioral and emotional health needs of TCKs and families
Work Environment/Physical Activities:
· Remote office environment
· Travel required, both domestic and international
