The Launch Global International Director (LGID) is responsible for overseeing Launch Global International (LGI) through the managing, shepherding, and empowering of LGI Leaders. The LGI Director will facilitate and lead the LGI Leadership Team. The LGI Director serves on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and thus collaborates with the other ELT members to help create and execute overall LG-wide strategy and objectives as well as represents LGI needs to the ELT and Global Resource Team (GRT).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
LGI
- Manage and Shepherd IRDs
- Provide counsel and spiritual leadership for IRDs: personal, family, and team
- Provide accountability for ministry goals and personal development
- High-level input and feedback into regional strategies and plans
- Assistance and support with recruiting, expansion, and ministry plans ○ Meet monthly with IRDs 1-on-1
- Lead and facilitate the LGI Leadership Team (LT)
- Cultivate shared learning and peer coaching for ministry topics
- Support and embody LGI culture
- Create LGI-wide unifying vision and objectives*
- Supervise the International Operations Directors (IODs)
- Ensure International Operations work supports LGI goals and vision
- Facilitate synergy between IODs and GRT
- High-level input into LGI Member Care
- Create structures and processes for LGI with meaningful input from the LG Field Office (LGFO)
- Crisis Response with IOD and Crisis Managers
- Hiring, promoting, and firing of IRDs and high-level LGI leaders (e.g. LGI Member Care Director); assisting IRDs in their recruitment, promoting, hiring, firing, and repatriation decisions
- Travel Expectations: 1x per year LGI LT meeting, 1x per year site visit to all teams; and as needed in emergencies
- Raise and maintain the full level of financial support
ELT
- Participate in high-level organizational decisions and strategy
- Represent LGI needs and perspective to the ELT, GRT, and LGUS
- Help with recruiting and fundraising for LG and LGI
- Support and embody LG values
Job skills and qualifications
- At least seven years of overseas experience
- Character reflective of the biblical qualification of an elder
- Competent shepherd
- Manages care for families and TCKs proactively and faithfully
- Demonstrates collaborative and facilitative leadership skills
- Leads with humility, flexibility, faith, and support for others’ vision and goals
- Pursues unity within LGI and with LG as a whole
- Values diversity and working with male and female leaders
- Aligns with LG and LGI Philosophy of Ministry and Doctrine

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of international ministry leadership experience
- Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
