We do this through educating the global church on critical issues facing the church and ministries in China, as well as by sparking collaborative partnerships between the global and Chinese church.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Part-time Assistant Content Manager to join our team. You’ll collaborate with our Content Manager to keep our website and other platforms updated with compelling, accurate content, and help manage everything from publishing to coordinating design work. It’s a great opportunity for someone who’s organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about online content management and creation.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about China, the Chinese church, and ministry in China. You should possess strong editorial skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Organizationally savvy and able to work independently, you thrive in a remote environment and communicate well with both team members and external partners. A willingness to learn new tools, such as WordPress, is essential, and a collaborative, proactive mindset will help ensure smooth content operations.
Major Objectives
- Collaborate with the Content Manager to ensure the accurate, timely, and relevant production of content across the website and other platforms.
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of ChinaSource website publications, adhering to the content calendar and scheduled deadlines.
- Coordinate posting of publications, including supervising layout and graphic design vendors as assigned, and provide timely updates to the Content Manager.
- Assist Content Manager in copy-editing, format editing, proofreading and publishing of all content.
- Serve as the primary contact in the absence of the Content Manager, ensuring editorial continuity.
What do you need?
To qualify for this position, you should have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Literature, Communications, Journalism, Media, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of editorial experience in publications, non-profits, media outlets, blogs, and/or missions organizations.
- Proven experience in content coordination, including managing editorial projects, teams, schedules, and deadlines.
- Experience with website content management, including SEO best practices, visual selection, taglines, and content uploads.
