Presented by: Marvin Newell
Many, even some in mission leadership, are confused with the terminology we so readily throw around in the world of missions. Some verbiage that is common: the unengaged, unreached peoples, frontier peoples, undiscipled, unmobilized, the reached, making disciples, world evangelization, etc. Not only is there confusion as to what is meant, but also what is important, and what the final goal should be. The intent of this workshop is to bring clarification and order to mission strategy, based on what Jesus told us our task is. The foundational premise is that familiarity with Matthew 28:18-20 must dictate mission strategy if we are to understand God’s global mission to the nations, and the corresponding missiological terminology that is commonly used.
