SUMMARY:How to Build a Metrics Dashboard for a Missions Agency
DESCRIPTION:Summary:\nMost missions agencies track a lot of numbers but still lack clarity on whether they’re counting the right things. Are these numbers helping them make decisions? This workshop shows how to build a simple Impact Dashboard that connects metrics to real gospel outcomes. \nSynopsis:\nMany missions agencies feel tension around metrics. Stories are compelling but anecdotal\, activity is high\, but leaders still struggle to see whether the outcomes they hope for are really happening. Without a clear dashboard\, decisions become reactive and churches\, Foundations and donors are left guessing.\nThis workshop introduces a practical approach to building an Impact Dashboard designed for missions agencies. Participants will learn how to create a Dashboard that mirrors what we’ve learned from healthy agencies who have created a 360-degree view of their impact\, connecting daily activity to long-term results. Participants will learn how to identify a small set of vital metrics that guide better decisions and surface issues early. \nLearning Objectives:\nLearn why most missions dashboards fail and how to design one that drives clarity\nIdentify missional\, operational\, and cultural metrics that matter for missions agencies\nApply Lead and Lag Measures to connect field activity to real outcomes\nLeave with a clear framework for building or refining an Impact Dashboard \nPresenters: \nCHRIS CURTIS\nDirector of Coaching and Training\nChris lives with his family in Greenville\, SC. Through his years of experience in education\, ministry\, international leadership development and coaching\, Chris has developed a keen interest in helping leaders become healthy so they can lead healthy organizations. \n  \n  \n  \nTODD MILBY\nManaging Partner\, Catapult\nTodd Milby lives in Greenville\, SC and is a Managing Partner of Catapult. Todd founded Catapult in 2015. He has helped catalyze vision and align strategy for hundreds of organizations. He specializes in identifying organizational gaps\, creating tailored solutions and calling leaders up to their full potential. \n  \n  \n  \nMissio Nexus encourages interaction on diverse and difficult topics. SUMMARY:NextGen Leaders Cohort
DESCRIPTION:Are you stepping into your first leadership role? Is there an emerging leader in your organization in which you want to invest? The NextGen Leader Cohort is designed to give younger leaders the tools to build their leadership capacity based on biblical principles\, personal values\, and organizational vision. Theory and practice will be woven together so that the skills that are taught will be rooted in the reasons those skills are essential to the participant’s ability to lead in healthy and holy ways.   \nParticipant Profile  \nThis cohort is open to Gen Z and Millennials (Aged 25-40) who are either new to leadership or being prepared for leadership roles. Ideally\, the cohort members will be recommended for participation by their mentor or by leaders in their organization.   \nWho You’ll Meet  \nCohort members will meet young leaders from other mission agencies who want to learn from each other and will dialogue with seasoned leaders who are willing to share their experiences.  \nWhat You’ll Learn  \n\nA biblical framework for leadership—and why it matters \n\n\nStrategies for managing stress \n\n\nSkills for navigating conflict \n\n\nTime management tips and techniques \n\n\nHow to build resilience \n\n\nCommunication skills—both active listening and presenting your ideas \n\n\nHow to work well on intergenerational teams \n\n Why You Want to Participate  \nLeadership comes in many shapes and sizes. Learn how you might contribute to the leadership of your organization while continuing to grow as a follower of Jesus. The Emerging Leaders Cohort begins with an Online Cohort meeting (October 20th\, 12 p.m. EST) where you will have the opportunity to get to know other cohort members and shape the content of the upcoming Leader Training by telling us which topics are most relevant to you. Next\, you will participate in the in-person leadership training retreat in Orlando (December 7-10) and engage in an interactive learning experience with your peers. The four monthly follow-up calls will be facilitated by leadership coaches and tailored to meet the needs of the participants (schedule TBD).   \nHow It Will Help You \nYou will grow your understanding of leadership and different leadership models\, enabling you to identify your leadership values and philosophy. Building on your core values\, you will grow in confidence and competence as a leader.
