Missio Nexus and The FOCUS Group invite you to join the fall 2024 fundraising training cohort.
Each workshop will provide ministry leaders with practical fundraising expertise to strengthen your work and effectively raise critical funds to fulfill the ministry’s mission.
The FOCUS Group’s Taking Donors Seriously® framework and training have remained at the forefront of industry best practices for over 40 years. The coaches and consultants deliver exceptional instruction and provide biblical, relational, and applicable fundraising solutions for today’s forward-thinking ministries focused on missions. If you are ready to raise more money than ever, this cohort is precisely for you.
Through six e-learning modules, leveraged with live coaching sessions and 90 minutes of individual coaching per participant, the coaches and consultants will walk you through the relational, specific, and strategic things you can do for your ministry. These interactive workshops will equip you to create and execute a robust annual fund campaign.
In this cohort, you will:
• Learn practical applications used successfully for over 40 years to help you partner with donors over a lifetime, uniquely contextualized for your ministry based on the Taking Donors Seriously® principles and practices.
• Create a compelling Case for Support to discuss the mission, vision, and funding needs with your donors.
• Identify, invite, and engage a volunteer fundraising team to help with fundraising efforts strategically.
• Create a prioritized and segmented donor list to maximize your time spent fundraising.
• Develop and implement individual cultivation strategies for top donors and a clear pathway to a gift to reach fundraising goals.
• Develop and apply a strategic, effective annual fundraising plan.
Delivery: All online. E-learning lessons and live coaching sessions led by Askala Harris Calhoun, Director of Fundraising Training and Learning Partnerships for The FOCUS Group.
Each session will take place at 1:00pm Eastern Time on the following dates:
- 10/1
- 10/15
- 10/29
- 11/12
- 11/19 (two weeks back-to-back to skip Thanksgiving week the following week)
- 12/3
Cost: $1250 for Members and $1500 for non-members
(We need a minimum of 10 registrants to launch the class)

• Taking Donors Seriously® Fundamentals Workbook
• Access to the e-learning platform for six months.
• Access to the proprietary annual fund campaign software for six months.
• Option to continue individual coaching after the cohort ends.
• Invitation to special events and webinars hosted by The FOCUS Group.
