Mark Hedinger
Mark Hedinger
Workshop Speaker | Executive Director and Director of Training Programs, CultureBound
I grew to love international work as a crop geneticist. I met the Lord during those years. Later, I grew to love Bible and theology through an M Div at Grace Theological Seminary. That degree launched my family and me into Bible Institute work in Mexico, and afterwards into work as an International Director at our agency. A Dr. of Missiology degree from Western Seminary led me to love the application of intercultural communication, intercultural studies, and intercultural education to Gos pel ministry. I teach some of thosetopics as Adjunct Faculty at Western. Those areas of study also weave together in IICC’s training for Gospel teams sent out from North, Central and South America and the Middle East/N Africa. Speaking of what I love, I quickly add my wife Karen, our four children, their spouses and our eight grandkids!

In 2005, a friend told me I should go into ministry due to my interest in technology and use of iPods as a way to share the Gospel. Two weeks later, I was with a missionary who shared that 2/3 of the world “can’t, don’t or won’t” read, and confirmed that audio technology could be a part of the solution. I knew I had to take action and I haven’t stopped since. The team that God has built at Spoken Worldwide gives me the hope that we, in partnership with others, can take the planet!
