Position Summary
The Digital Communication Specialist plays a key role in inspiring, informing, and connecting GACX member organizations and leaders through compelling digital content and strategic communications. This person will elevate GACX’s mission by curating stories of collaboration and church multiplication, writing and managing external communications, and driving consistent messaging across web, email, and social platforms.
The Digital Communication Specialist is employed by Campus Crusade for Christ and serves on the GACX ministry team.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, request, create, and curate digital content (articles, videos, infographics, case studies, testimonials) that equips GACX members and communicates the impact of GACX collaborations and projects.
- Edit and produce short video reports of collaboration and build a growing video library; collaborate with staff, board members, and field partners to capture impactful stories.
- Lead the writing and distribution of regular email communications (such as email newsletters and special announcements) to internal and external audiences. These audiences range from CEOs of major organizations to a broad distribution list of 5000+ leaders around the world.
- Manage and update content on the GACX website and other digital platforms, such as the Info Hub Wiki and GACX social media accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and on-brand messaging.
- Oversee the integration and utilization of digital tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce, Vimeo, social media scheduling platforms) to optimize communication workflows, analytics, and content delivery.
- Ensure that all content is accessible, aligns with organizational branding and style, and adheres to legal and copyright requirements.
- Stay informed on best practices, trends, and technologies in digital content, church planting, donor engagement, and nonprofit communications.
- Troubleshoot content issues as needed, collaborating with technical teams or consultants for resolution.
- Maintain organized digital asset libraries and communication records.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field (equivalent work experience considered).
- Ability to work independently, meet project deadlines, and raise the bar in this role
- 3+ years of professional experience in digital content creation, nonprofit storytelling, or organizational communications.
- Excellence in creative writing and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt style for various audiences.
- Experience producing and editing digital video, graphics, and multimedia content.
- Working knowledge of church planting principles and the ability to succinctly present complex concepts.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, analytics, and social media management.
- Proficient with digital asset, video, and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software). Ability to rapidly learn applications.
- Strong strategic, project management, and organizational skills; ability to work independently, on multiple projects at the same time, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work with sensitivity and confidentiality in a multicultural and ministry-focused setting.

Physical and Administrative Expectations
- Work is performed primarily in an office or remote setting with occasional travel (e.g., annual GACX Forum).
- May require occasional lifting/light setup of media equipment.

- Must exhibit a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a willingness and ability to share how this relationship began.
