Press Release: Frontier Fellowship appoints new Executive Director

Frontier Fellowship is pleased to announce the appointment of new Executive Director, Ethan Collins.

Douglas M. Dye, Chair of the Frontier Fellowship Board of Directors, reported, “…the Lord blessed us with a strong pool of candidates. After deep prayer, thorough discussion, and a season of waiting on the Lord, the Board unanimously voted to call Ethan. We are confident that God is calling Ethan to lead and serve Frontier Fellowship in this season of development and ministry.”

Collins most recently served as Global Outreach Pastor at Scottsdale Bible Church in Arizona, overseeing a large staff that works with more than 55 global workers and missionaries. Married since 1999, Ethan and Amber Collins have three children: Emmett (19), Ava (16), and Sawyer (12).

With a deep love for and commitment to Christ, Collins is passionate about the global Church and particularly for reaching the least-reached. As a college senior at Texas A&M, he took the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement mission course, and in his own words, he “never got over it”.

Collins has an effective and long track record of working with an extensive network of international partners. He has substantial experience guiding mission staff, including vision casting and implementation. Ethan will bring new energy to Frontier Fellowship through his connections with like-minded organizations and people.

Collins is a 2013 graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Ministry and a 1992 graduate of Texas A&M. He served ten years as Young Life Area Director in the Houston region (1992-2002). Ethan and Amber served with Africa Inland Mission in East Africa from 2002 to 2004. When they returned to the U.S., Collins worked as a Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Texas Home Medical sales executive. After graduating seminary, Collins served as Missions Pastor at Faith Bible Church in The Woodlands, Texas. Since 2015, he has served at Scottsdale Bible Church.

The Frontier Fellowship Board has implemented a transition plan that involves several weeks of joint leadership with predecessor Richard Haney and Collins. The Board is delighted that Haney is willing to continue to serve alongside Collins through April 30, 2024, when Haney will officially retire.

We urge you to pray for this transition, for Richard and Ethan, and for Ethan as he leads Frontier Fellowship into the future God has planned for us.”
